Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a PLC Programmer to design, develop, and implement Rockwell and Siemens PLC programs for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure safe, efficient operations from concept through commissioning. The role requires 5+ years of PLC experience, BS in engineering, and strong knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, BACnet).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Reading electrical and process control drawings and P&IDs.
• Experience with BAS controls and various process plant environments.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications and customer requirements.
• Strong understanding of IT networks and industrial communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop system control strategies with design engineers.
• Program Rockwell and Siemens PLCs per project specs.
• Implement and test PLC programs, HMI integration, and SCADA interfaces.
• Conduct simulations, bench tests, and commissioning at client sites.
• Travel up to 30% to customer sites for deployment and support.
