Job summary

Hoffman & Hoffman Inc in Charlotte, NC is seeking a PLC Programmer to design and implement Rockwell and Siemens PLC programs for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems across building and industrial projects.

You will collaborate with design engineers, project management, and field teams, read P&IDs, control drawings, and perform tests and commissioning, with up to 30% travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Understanding BAS controls and Process Plant controls in different environments.
• Ability to read electrical and process control drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Develop system control strategies with a team of design engineers.
• Develop Rockwell and Siemens PLC programs using P&IDs and sequence of operation docs.
• Integrate communications via Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and BACnet.
• Collaborate with SCADA developers for HMI integration and control via SCADA software.
• Perform simulations, bench tests, factory acceptance tests, and on-site commissioning tests.
