Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designengineers to develop system control strategies.
- DevelopRockwell and Siemens PLC programs utilizing:
- Pipingand Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Sequenceof operation documentation.
- Projectplans and specifications.
- Customerrequirements and standards.
- Integratevarious communication protocols, including Modbus, Ethernet/IP,Profibus, and BACnet.
- Workclosely with SCADA developers to implement Human-Machine Interface(HMI) integration and control via SCADA software.
- Developsimulation, bench test, and factory acceptance test protocoldocumentation.
- Conductsimulations, bench tests, factory witness tests, and on-sitecommissioning tests for each program.
- Travelup to 30% to customer sites for deployment and post-deploymentsupport activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience withRockwell and Siemens PLCs.
- Understandingof Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls and process plantcontrols in various environments.
- Abilityto initiate and execute programming tasks independently or as partof a team, ensuring successful client delivery.
- Proficiencyin reading electrical and process control drawings, including P&IDs.
- Strongunderstanding of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and processsystems.
- Goodunderstanding of IT networks.
- Experiencewith multiple communication protocols and gateway networking:
- Modbus
- Ethernet/IP
- Profibus
- BACnet
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in SystemsEngineering, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experiencewith Direct Digital Control (DDC), Tridium, or other BAS controlsystems.
