Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of technical training or 5+ years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of maintenance disciplines including mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLC troubleshooting, and sensors.
• Lockout/Tagout experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support production operations and lead complex maintenance tasks.
• Mentor junior technicians to improve department skill sets.
• Read mechanical and wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Troubleshoot motion controls, electrical circuits, and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and safety checks.

Job Summary The P LC Maintenance Technician provides support for production operations and leads complex maintenance activities. This role requires advanced technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, as well as the ability to mentor junior technicians, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Supp ort production operations and lead complex maintenance tasks Mentor junior technicians to improve department skill sets Use advanced tools including hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices Operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, hoists, cranes, and scissor lifts Read mechanical and wiring diagrams and service manuals Troubleshoot motion controls, electrical circuits, and sensors Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and safety checks Repair complex manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision Service components such as cylinders, motors, valves, pumps, and motion elements Prioritize outages and multitask effectively Complete documentation neatly and accurately Lead projects and train or mentor team members Work safely in compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelin es Required Qualifications 2 y ears of technical training or 5+ years related experience Advanced knowledge of maintenance disciplines including mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLC troubleshooting, and sensors Prior Lockout/Tagout experience Basic computer skills Strong mechanical skills and ability to communic ate clearly Preferred Qualifications Ba sic PLC programming knowledge Experience with HVAC, compressed air, dust collection, and electrical distribution systems Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, stooping, climbing) Comfortable working at heights over 30 ft indoors or outdoors in extreme heat or cold Exposure to factory environments including dust, heat, and noise Must withstand temperatures above 95&degree;F and exposure to wood dust and aluminum Top 3 Skills Required Machine experience Knowledge of hand tools Communication skills Education: High School
