Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking an automation engineer to provide independent pre- and post-sales engineering support for PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and related automation systems.

You will analyze moderately complex applications, establish functional requirements, design and modify control solutions, and advise customers and internal partners on implementation and technical alternatives. The role requires 2–4 years in industrial automation, knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Modbus,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
2–4 years of experience with multiple PLC/HMI platforms.
Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, Modbus, PROFINET and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer applications to define PLC/HMI system requirements.
Design, test, and modify PLC/HMI programs and configurations.
Evaluate architectures and recommend integration methods.
Perform root-cause analysis and develop corrective solutions.
Develop validation plans and training materials.
