Job summary

General Shale is seeking a PLC / Electrical Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve plant electrical systems and automated equipment. You will support production through preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and on-call technical support in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with industrial electronics, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Allen-Bradley software. Candidates should have an associate degree in electronics and a strong knowledge of NEC codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electronics or electrical experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), HMIs, and PLCs.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley automation and programming, including RSLogix 500 & 5000, ControlLogix, FactoryTalk ME, and RSLinx.
• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
• Industrial electrician experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily with control systems and software.
