Job summary

Prysmian in Windham, CT seeks an Electrical Engineer specializing in PLCs and industrial software to optimize production equipment and drive reliability. You’ll write and debug control logic, interpret schematics, and guide electricians on AC/DC drive systems while coordinating with maintenance on capital projects.

5+ years of manufacturing experience, wire & cable background preferred.
Advanced CAD proficiency and PLC programming experience.
Wonderware experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own PLC and computer software that support production equipment.
Develop, write, and debug control logic for machine control.
Interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and restore equipment.
Lead projects end-to-end: estimates, designs, approvals, procurement, installation, commissioning, cost control, safety.
Coordinate with external electrical engineering, construction, and consulting partners.
Oversee outsourced repairs for critical electronic components to ensure uptime.
Provide guidance to electricians for troubleshooting and programming of AC/DC drive systems.
Document and back up all control programs and configurations.
