Onsite role -- Richmond TX

PLC Controls Engineer

• Implement automation projects for material handling clients.
• Develop and implement PLC code for material handling equipment.
• Review AutoCAD layouts and schematics to program projects.
• Test PLC prototypes internally and on-site for new or modified projects.
• Assess programming and commissioning methods to ensure standard coding practices are met.
• Execute all test plans on-site, including internal testing, customer acceptance, BUAT, UAT, and FAT.
• Monitor project tasks and timelines; report progress regularly.
• Assist with storing turnover documentation appropriately.
• Contribute to test plans for internal, in-house, site, commissioning, and acceptance phases.
• Attend weekly team meetings; review scheduled tasks and timelines.
• Communicate technical information clearly to interdisciplinary teams and management.
• Report project updates to track progress.
• Work with electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
• Design schematics, layouts, and network diagrams using electrical design software (preferably AutoCAD Electrical).
• Apply electrical design principles and practices.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics from an accredited institution.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50-60% of the time.
• Experience with PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley), PanelView HMI, Qtest.
