Job summary

Hydro Extrusions North America seeks a skilled PLC programmer and maintenance technician in North Liberty, IN to join our Maintenance team. You will program, troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled equipment, integrating HMIs, sensors and actuators in an industrial setting.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience, ladder logic and Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio. You’ll work with engineering on upgrades, train junior technicians, and help drive reliability

Qualifications

3-5 years hands-on programming, troubleshooting and supporting PLC equipment.
Experience in Ladder logic programming in Allen Bradley Logix/Studio 5000.
Proficient in UD Tags, Add-on Instructions, and Structured Text programming.
Experience with industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP).
Experience editing HMI applications in FactoryTalk View Studio.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, and support PLC-controlled equipment.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic using ladder logic and function block.
Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems in industrial environments with minimal supervision.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems and related components.
Integrate PLCs with HMIs, sensors, and actuators.
Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and improvements.
Train junior technicians and provide technical support.
Utilize predictive measures to enhance equipment reliability through CRI initiatives.
Implement and support continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
Support mechanical technicians ~30% of the time as needed.
