Job summary

EIS in North America seeks a hands-on Process Control Engineer to enhance efficiency and reliability of manufacturing processes. You will troubleshoot electrical control systems, program PLC-based automation, and modernize machine controls across multiple facilities.

Working with engineering, production and maintenance teams, you will reduce downtime, improve productivity, and drive safety and quality improvements. Travel to EIS sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in electrical engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing controls.
• Hands-on experience programming, wiring, troubleshooting, and modifying industrial electrical control systems.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, machine automation, electrical schematics, motor controls, sensors, and industrial control systems.
• Ability to travel to other EIS locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, install, and troubleshoot PLC-based and computer-based control systems.
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls support to maintenance and production to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and operating costs.
• Lead controls upgrades, automation projects, equipment commissioning, and startup.
• Coordinate with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and outside engineering resources as needed.
• Maintain control-system backups, documentation, and recovery procedures.
• Work with IT to ensure secure and reliable manufacturing equipment networks.
• Develop and implement inspection systems using machine vision, sensors, and other automation technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and plant leadership to implement improvements across EIS facilities.
