Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a skilled automation maintenance professional in Alabama to drive uptime and safety across plant automation systems. You will plan and implement maintenance strategies, coordinate external services, and support long-term equipment decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (or related) with relevant hands-on experience, willingness to work various shifts, and strong knowledge of automation equipment and PLCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 1+ years job-related experience preferred.
• Know-how in operation, repair and maintenance of automation equipment and drives.
• Willingness to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Maintain automation equipment to insure maximum uptime and plan long-term decisions.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for services and equipment to meet department needs.
• Assist in shutdown scheduling and input on manpower planning to keep costs in check.
