Tesco Controls, part of UFT, seeks an experienced PLC Applications Engineer to design, program, and optimize PLC and OIT software for water/wastewater processes. Travel 30–40% across California to support startup, commissioning, and customer training.
Under limited supervision, you will analyze requirements, develop control logic, and help establish department best practices while mentoring others on programming standards and project execution.

Under little to no supervision, the PLC Applications Engineer writes PLC programs, OIT programs, and software control descriptions for controlling various water and/or wastewater processes. Responsible for the analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of programmable logic for such applications. Verify that all aspects of PLC & OIT functionality meet required project specifications and perform bench testing, shop testing, and troubleshooting during startup and post commissioning. Ability and willingness to train and aid other programmers, along with assisting in the development of departmental best practices and standards.
This role will travel about 30-40% of the time throughout California.
Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future.
