PLC and Electrical Maintenance TechnologistEmployer: McCormick & Company, Incorporated | Location: South Bend, IN | Team: Maintenance (reports to Maintenance Team Manager) | Shifts: 2nd or 3rdWhy this role?Because keeping world‑class food operations running takes sharp diagnostics, clean documentation, and rock‑solid electrical skills.Because you’ll work on PLCs, HMIs, networks, and the sensors that bring factory automation to life.Because your ideas for better tests and smarter PMs will be heard—and implemented.What you’ll tackleTroubleshoot and repair power distribution, motor starters, and high/low voltage circuits.Diagnose PLC logic and HMI issues; support controls on EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and DH+ networks.Service and calibrate field devices: photo eyes, proximity switches, encoders, limit switches, and more.Apply multimeters and other standard electrical test equipment to execute and record equipment tests.Revise and clarify test procedures; mentor teammates on proper execution.Perform preventive and general maintenance on production and facilities equipment.Complete work orders with precise documentation and test records.Join cross‑functional problem‑solving in a High Performance Organization to find root causes and drive continuous improvement.Coordinate with outside contractors on installs and modifications, as needed.What you bring3–5 years of hands‑on plant maintenance experience.Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLC/solid‑state control systems.Comfort with test gear (especially multimeters) and standard troubleshooting methods.Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.Tech you’ll useAllen‑Bradley Programmable Logic ControllersWho we areMcCormick & Company, Incorporated is the global leader in flavor, with over $5 billion in annual sales.
