Job summary

White Bear Lake Area Schools is seeking a compassionate Lunchroom/Playground Supervisor to supervise students on the playground and in the cafeteria. This 2.5-hour per day role aligns with a clerical contract level I and starts in August 2026, with potential hours growth.

You will work closely with school staff to promote safety, inclusion, and student well-being. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and a desire to support elementary students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children.
• Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire.
• Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention within 6-12 months upon hire as needed for program.
• Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide student supervision on playground and in the cafeteria.
• Collaborate with School Psychologist and the Student Support Team to implement strategies for student well-being.
• Contribute to building a safe, inclusive school environment where students feel seen and supported.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.

Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting.

Work Week: 2.5 hour per day position - Monday through Friday

Student Level: Elementary

Positions Summary:

We're looking for a compassionate, proactive, and collaborative individual to join our dedicated Student Support Team by providing student supervision on the playground and in the cafeteria.

In this role, you'll work closely with the School Psychologist and the Student Support Team to develop and implement creative strategies that help students thrive. You'll be a key contributor to building a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment where every student feels seen, heard, and empowered to succeed.

The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with young people. You'll have the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with students, collaborate with caring educators, and be part of a team that values connection, growth, and student well-being.
