Job summary

KABOOM! seeks a Project Management intern to support nationwide playground builds, traveling with teams across North America and working with communities to design and install playgrounds.

The 4-month internship is based in Bethesda, MD, offering a $2,500 monthly stipend plus travel expenses covered for each project, with on-site work and travel requirements typical of a three-day build schedule. Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited college or university (sophomore status or above) is required.
• Participants in recognized workforce development or learning programs are eligible.
• Excellent organizational skills are essential.
• Willingness to travel across North America and work ~40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support to the Project Manager during KABOOM! led community playground builds.
• Clearly communicate tasks and responsibilities to volunteers and the Project Manager.
• Learn about playground equipment, play environments, and project planning and execution.
• Assist with volunteer and event management of playground builds across North America.
• Assist Project Managers with creating and revising planning documents and reports.
• Prepare written instructions for volunteers regarding installation of playground equipment.
