Job summary

My Recess Therapy in Elgin, IL is seeking a warm, skilled Pediatric OT to join our team part-time. The ideal schedule is 2-3 afternoons per week, 3:00-7:00 PM, with morning hours available for birth-3 caseloads.

You will evaluate, plan, and deliver play-based interventions to support sensory processing, self-regulation, and motor development for infants through school-age children. Collaborate with families and in-house therapists, participate in mentorship, and contribute to a community that

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy; active Illinois OT license.
• 2+ years pediatric experience preferred; new grads with strong pediatric fieldwork considered.
• Working knowledge of sensory processing and self-regulation frameworks.
• Strong communication skills; able to build trust with children, parents, and referring professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of sensory processing, self-regulation, motor skills, and daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized, play-based treatment plans that follow the child's lead.
• Partner with parents and caregivers - coaching, modeling strategies, and building practical home programs.
• Collaborate with in-house therapists and outside professionals to coordinate care.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Maintain a consistent caseload and schedule; contribute to a collaborative team culture.
