My Recess Therapy in Elgin, IL is seeking a warm, skilled Pediatric OT for part-time afternoons. You’ll evaluate and treat infants to school-age children, focusing on sensory processing, self-regulation, and motor skills in play-based sessions.

Collaborating with in-house therapists and families, you’ll design individualized plans, coach caregivers, and maintain a consistent caseload with a flexible schedule. This role emphasizes mentorship and community impact.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy; active Illinois OT license.
• 2+ years pediatric experience preferred; new grads with strong pediatric fieldwork considered.
• Working knowledge of sensory processing and self-regulation frameworks.
• Strong communication skills; able to build trust with children, parents, and referring professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations of sensory processing, self-regulation, motor skills, and daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized, play-based treatment plans that follow the child's lead.
• Partner with parents and caregivers — coaching, modeling strategies, and building practical home programs.
• Collaborate with in-house therapists and outside professionals to coordinate care.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Maintain a consistent caseload and schedule; contribute to a collaborative team culture.
