Job summary

The Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus is seeking a Museum Associate for a part-time, non-exempt position scheduled Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with additional hours as needed for events. The role blends playful guest engagement with safety, cleanliness and teamwork, and features a bilingual pay premium for Spanish.

You will welcome families, spark curiosity and help guests explore exhibits while supporting front desk, gift shop and cafe as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for play and commitment to the museum's mission and values.
• Ability to engage children and families in a welcoming way.
• Comfortable performing and speaking in front of groups.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Fluent English; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with energy and warmth and facilitate playful interactions in exhibit spaces.
• Inspire children and families by modeling curiosity and joy.
• Maintain clean, safe environments to ensure welcoming exhibits.
• Actively listen to guest feedback and enhance the guest experience.
• Stay informed about programming, events and exhibit schedules.
• Open, reset and close exhibit spaces and restock materials.
• Collaborate with teammates and assist others as needed.
• Participate in after-hours events (minimum monthly).
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring new staff as assigned.
• Support guest services at front desk, gift shop and café as needed.
