Job summary

Troon, Eagle Mountain Golf Club in Fountain Hills, Arizona, seeks a Part-Time Player Assistant to welcome players, start groups, maintain pace of play, and support course operations with positive guest service.

You will handle tee-time procedures, track players, communicate with Golf Shop, assist golfers, and help with course upkeep while upholding safety and attendance standards. GED or high school diploma and 1–3 months related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Starts players on the first tee and explains the rules for the day.
• Maintains a starting sheet and ensures groups are on schedule.
• Cues groups to the first tee and regulates tee activity to avoid congestion.
• Tours the course to assist players and maintain pace of play.
• Checks restrooms and water stations regularly and reports issues.
• Maintains spacing on the course to prevent delays.
• Completes the golfer tracking report daily.
• Reminds players of cart rules for the day.
• Repairs ball marks and collects litter on the course.
• Replaces hazard stakes and directional signage as needed.
• Communicates with Golf Shop and Starter routinely.
• Monitors course conditions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assists golfers whenever needed and reports problems to Head Professional.
• Incorporates safe work practices and performs other duties as required.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in racquet sports and community management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Starts players on the first tee explaining the rules of play for the day.
• Maintains an accurate starting sheet so the whereabouts of players are known.
• Cues groups to move to the first tee and makes sure not more than one group is on the tee at on time.
• Tours the golf course assisting players when needed to maintain the posted pace of play for the day.
• Checks the restrooms and water stations on a regular schedule.
• Maintains proper spacing on the golf course to avoid delays.
• Completes the golfer tracking report on a daily basis.
• Reminds players of the cart rules of the day.
• Repair ball marks and collect any trash that may be on the course.
• Replaces any hazard stakes or directional signage.
• Communicates with the Golf Shop and Starter on a regular basis.
• Monitors the course and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assists golfers when needed.
• Reports all problem situations to the Head Professional in a timely manner.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications:

Regular and reliable attendance.
