Yellow Brick Road in Minnesota seeks an Assistant Educator to support the Lead Educator in creating a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where children thrive. You will assist with play-based activities, monitor development, and help maintain routines with a focus on safety and respect.

You’ll communicate with families, participate in professional development, and comply with DHS requirements while contributing to a joyful educational community.

Qualifications

• Must meet the Minnesota DHS Assistant Teacher qualification requirements.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and meet physical demands.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willing to obtain within 30 days.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate activities aligned with standards.
• Support a positive classroom culture fostering belonging, safety and curiosity.
• Supervise children and document progress as directed by Lead Educator.
• Help maintain an organized, safe classroom environment and routines.
• Communicate professionally with families and provide daily updates via app.
