Qualifications

  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide; compute rate and percent.
  • Strong reasoning to apply instructions and solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts, prepare baskets and tanks for processing.
  • Follow prescribed processing procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
  • Monitor solution temperatures and log daily production.
  • Inspect finished product quality and record keeping.
  • Assist with chemical handling and general utility tasks.
  • Troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
  • Ensure overall product quality.

Westaff is hiring Plating Technicians in Lincoln, NH – All Shifts

Schedule of the Plating Technician:

1st Shift: 7am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday – $21.05

2nd Shift: 3pm – 11pm Monday – Friday – $24.55

3rd Shift: 11pm – 7:30am Monday – Saturday – $25.55

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Loads and unloads tote pans of parts, stacks parts in baskets, racks and/or barrels, racks, unracks, cleans, etches, desmuts, pickles, bright–dips dyes, degreases, heat treats, plates, coats, wet processes, and dries parts.Uses electric hoists and manual lifting.
  • Following prescribed procedures for processing.
  • Fills baskets, racks, and/or barrels with parts to be processed and lowers material into the appropriate tank.
  • Removes parts when the process is completed.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
  • Monitors the temperature of solutions.
  • Maintains daily production logs.
  • Physically inspects processing to ensure quality of product.
  • May be required to perform general utility work, material handling, assist with chemical handling and solution maintenance, and record keeping as needed.
  • May be asked to troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
  • Is responsible for the quality of the product produced.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school or general education degree (GED); or equivalent months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, and percent.
  • REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
