Job summary

Ampcus Inc. in Lincoln, NH is seeking a Metal Finisher to operate equipment used in finishing operations. The role requires following procedures and maintaining quality throughout the process.

This position is on the 2nd shift (3 pm–11:30 pm, Mon-Fri) with a sign-on bonus after 90 days based on performance and attendance. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and basic chemistry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read instructions and follow procedures.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry related to finishing processes.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload tote pans, stack parts in baskets or racks, and prepare for processing.
  • Follow prescribed processing procedures.
  • Move parts between tanks and lower into the correct solution.
  • Remove parts after processing is complete.
  • Keep tanks and work areas clean.
  • Monitor solution temperatures.
  • Record daily production logs.
  • Inspect processing quality of product.
  • Assist with chemical handling and routine maintenance as needed.
  • Troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
  • Ensure product quality and perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

Responsible for operating assigned equipment used in executing metal finishing operations by performing the following duties.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Load and unload tote pans of parts, stack parts in baskets, racks and/or barrels, racks, unracks, clean, etch, desmut, pickle, bright-dip dyes, degrease, heat treat, plate, coat, wet process, and dry parts. Use electric hoists and manual lifting.
  • Follow prescribed procedures for processing.
  • Fill baskets, racks, and/or barrels with parts to be processed and lower material into the appropriate tank.
  • Remove parts when the process is completed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
  • Monitor temperature of solutions.
  • Maintain daily production logs.
  • Physically inspect processing to ensure quality of product.
  • May be required to perform general utility work, material handling, assist with chemical handling and solution maintenance, and record keeping as needed.
  • May be asked to troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
  • Is responsible for the quality of the product produced.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience
  • High school or general education degree (GED); or equivalent months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.
