Parker Hannifin is seeking a Plating Operator in Massachusetts to perform plating operations across multiple metals, manage chemical handling, and support wastewater and boiler processes. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and documentation standards in a fast-paced environment.

The position schedules 10-hour shifts (4:30AM-3:00PM, Monday-Thursday), with focus on meeting output targets, equipment operation, and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience.
• US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills are a necessity.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.
• Must be able to adjust quickly to changes in priorities, be goal-driven and self-motivated.
• Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Windows.
• Properly handle chemicals by reading and understanding SDS data sheets.
• Wastewater Treatment Operator 2I license preferred or required to achieve while in role.
• Fireman 2nd class license preferred or required to achieve while in role.
• Powered industrial trucks (forklift license) preferred.
• Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours, and lift and or move up to 40 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Meet or exceed daily output targets according to product flow and procedures.
• Input and review data using a computer for tracking materials in the process.
• Ensure chemicals and materials are weighed correctly and used in the correct sequence.
• Communicate between departments when problems arise.
• Operate forklift and manual equipment to move materials.
• Assist Process Engineers in running chemical process evaluations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on chemical machines.
• Complete internal departmental documentation accurately.
• Follow safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste and wear PPE.
• undertook training for chemical handling and ongoing hazardous waste training.
• Work cross-functionally with milling team as needed.
