Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a hands-on Plating Supervisor to lead our finishing team in a fast-paced, technical environment.

You will coach and develop department leads, translate production schedules into clear priorities, and monitor plating processes to ensure high-quality results. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in plating with supervisory experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in plating or chemical finishing; minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Technical troubleshooting with plating chemistry and equipment.
• Lean/process-improvement experience and data-driven decision making.
• Strong communication and leadership to build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Finishing Department Leads.
• Conduct coaching sessions and performance reviews.
• Translate daily production schedules into clear priorities and staffing assignments.
• Monitor plating chemistry, equipment condition, and in-process inspections to hit quality metrics.
• Partner with Engineering on process enhancements, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and report key metrics.
• Other duties may be assigned.
