Job summary

Samtec, Inc. is seeking a plating operator for 3rd shift to run reel-to-reel or barrel plating equipment and produce high quantities with accuracy. The role involves coating metal parts with gold, nickel, matte tin, or other finishes and reading drawings to manufacture parts accordingly.

The position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience around or with chemicals preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plating machines to coat metal products with gold, nickel, matte tin, or other metals.
• Immerse workpieces in liquid metal for specified times.
• Read assembly drawings and manufacture parts accordingly.
• Think critically and maintain high accuracy; keep organized.
• Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
