Samtec is hiring for a plating operator on the 3rd shift in New Albany, Indiana. You will operate reel-to-reel or barrel plating equipment to apply gold, nickel, or tin coatings, ensuring high accuracy and process quality.

Daily tasks include reading drawings, preparing machines, and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in manufacturing, familiarity with chemicals, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Competenze

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience around or with chemicals is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Exposure to noise and chemicals requires protective gear.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate plating machines to coat metal parts with gold, nickel, matte tin, or other metals.
• Immerse workpieces in liquid metal for specified times.
• Interpret assembly drawings to manufacture parts accordingly.
• Maintain accuracy and pay close attention to detail in all tasks.
