Job summary

Samtec, Inc. is seeking a Plating Lab Technician to monitor and control plating baths, perform analyses, and support electroplating production. The role requires strong analytical skills, teamwork, and the ability to work safely in a chemical lab environment.

Responsibilities include bath maintenance, post-plating analyses, and equipment calibration. A high school diploma or GED is required, with degrees in Chemistry/Engineering/Science preferred. On-site Indiana location.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication (verbal & written), proficiency with system applications, and problem-solving ability are required.
• Must be a self-starter with strong teamwork skills and high attention to detail.
• Education: high school diploma or GED; degree in Chemistry/Engineering/Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with integrity in a team environment to support Electroplating Production and GCT Production.
• Perform analyses to monitor plating and water treatment systems per procedures.
• Maintain plating baths by additions and changes based on tests or supervisor guidance.
• Perform post-plating analysis: ionic contamination, porosity, and gold usage.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• May be asked to perform additional tasks based on strengths and capabilities.
