Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a highly motivated Debug Engineer to join our Platform Validation & System Debug team in Austin. You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, BIOS, OS, and silicon to identify and resolve complex system issues through the product lifecycle.

You will lead hands-on lab investigations, develop automation, and collaborate across Design, Firmware, Software and Validation teams to deliver robust, customer-ready platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and SoC hardware/software.
• Hands-on experience with system validation and hardware debug.
• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers).
• Ability to read schematics and hardware docs.
• Knowledge of BIOS, firmware, drivers, and Windows/Linux.
• Scripting/programming in Python, C/C++, or PowerShell.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead system bring-up, validation and debug from pre- to post-silicon.
• Investigate and resolve hardware, firmware, BIOS, OS issues.
• Develop and maintain debug automation and validation frameworks.
• Analyze logs, traces, and captures to identify failure modes.
• Collaborate with Design, Firmware, Software, and Validation teams.
• Document procedures, findings and best practices.
• Support customer enablement and field issue resolution.
