Job summary

Baseten is hiring Software Engineers for the Platform team to own and improve the testing stack for mission‑critical AI inference. You will build frameworks, harnesses, and feedback loops that enable fast, reliable testing across the entire platform.

You will collaborate with product and infrastructure teams, mentor others, and help Baseten maintain high testing standards and resilient systems in a production‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building test tooling and libraries used by engineers.
• Experience with unit, integration, load and performance testing.
• Ability to design end-to-end test infrastructure for distributed systems.
• Familiarity with ephemeral environments and dependency management.

Responsibilities

• Own testing strategy end-to-end and define standards and tooling for engineering teams.
• Build and maintain unit, integration, load and performance testing frameworks.
• Design end-to-end test infrastructure with ephemeral Kubernetes namespaces and containerized services.
• Develop resilience and chaos testing capabilities and automate verification of graceful degradation.
