Job summary

Baseten is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our Platform team within the Infrastructure organization. You will own the testing stack for mission-critical AI inference, building frameworks and tooling that enable fast, reliable testing across distributed systems.

You will design end-to-end test infrastructure, implement resilience and chaos testing, and raise the bar for testing culture across the org, partnering with product and infra teams and mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Go and/or Python; hands-on with test tooling.
• Experience with testing frameworks like pytest, Go testing, testify, testcontainers.
• Designing integration test infrastructure for distributed systems.
• Experience with load and performance testing tools.
• Solid Kubernetes and Docker fundamentals.
• Advanced CI/CD understanding for large test suites.
• Track record of improving testing culture on an engineering team.
• Able to work independently on high-impact technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own testing strategy end to end with defined standards and tooling.
• Build and maintain unit, integration, load and performance testing frameworks.
• Design end-to-end test infrastructure with ephemeral environments and dependencies.
• Build resilience and chaos testing capabilities.
• Improve test reliability: flake detection and CI speed.
• Add observability: coverage reporting and dashboards.
• Create templates and libraries for new services’ tests.
• Collaborate with product and infra teams; mentor others.
