Job summary

HP in Houston, TX seeks a Software Systems Engineer to drive design of software systems across platforms, write and execute test plans, debug code, and collaborate with stakeholders on requirements. You will enhance system integration, work with cloud services, and contribute to robust, scalable architectures.

The role requires 2–4 years in systems engineering or related field, with experience in AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and full stack development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience in a related field.
Typically 2-4 years of work experience in systems engineering or related area.
Experience with cloud platforms and software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Installs, configures, tests and maintains OS, application software, and system tools.
Designs enhancements and programming changes for subsystems of systems software.
Analyzes design, determines coding and integration activities per objectives.
Writes/testing plans and documents; debugs issues and proposes improvements.
Participates in design discussions, gathers requirements, defines interfaces.
Improves lifecycle of services from inception to operation and refinement.
Provides support via consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
Collaborates with internal and outsourced partners on design status and progress.
Develops conclusions and reports to share knowledge and support decision making.
