Job summary

Braintrust is looking for Platform Support Engineers to own customer-facing issues in hybrid/self-hosted deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You’ll work with our Cloud Infrastructure and Engineering teams to diagnose, triage, and resolve outages and performance problems in production.

You’ll ship fixes, write runbooks, and build self-service tooling while keeping customers running smoothly and informed under pressure. If you love hard infra with real customers, this is for you.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Strong Kubernetes fundamentals with real workload debugging.
• Hands-on Terraform and depth in at least one major cloud (AWS preferred).
• Comfort in a backend codebase (Python, TypeScript, or Go).
• Fluency with observability tooling and data-driven mindset.
• Clear, calm communication under pressure with technical customers.
• Ownership and persistence to restore service quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own customer-facing support for hybrid/self-hosted Braintrust deployments across cloud providers.
• Debug infrastructure issues: Kubernetes, Terraform state, VPC config, IAM, TLS.
• Diagnose backend performance/reliability with logs, metrics, and traces.
• Lead incident response and drive issues to resolution.
• Ship fixes and contribute PRs to backend services and tooling.
• Build diagnostics and self-service paths to reduce future tickets.
• Write and maintain runbooks and deployment docs.
• Feed patterns back to Engineering and Product.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical issues.
