Job summary

Braintrust is building the agent observability platform and seeks Platform Support Engineers to own hybrid/self-hosted deployments for enterprise customers. You will work with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infra across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and you’ll be the technical front line for reliability and performance.

You’ll diagnose issues from install to steady-state, run incident responses, and contribute fixes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Support Eng, SRE, DevOps, Solutions Arch, or Infra Eng).
• Strong Kubernetes fundamentals: deploy, debug, scale workloads and read pod events/logs.
• Hands-on Terraform and depth in at least one major cloud (AWS strongly preferred).
• Backend code familiarity: Python, TypeScript, or Go to reproduce, trace, and fix issues.
• Fluency with observability tooling and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own customer-facing support for hybrid/self-hosted Braintrust deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP - from install through steady-state operation.
• Debug infrastructure problems: Kubernetes workloads, Terraform state, networking/VPC, IAM, TLS, and cloud-provider quirks.
• Diagnose backend performance and reliability issues using logs, metrics, and traces to find root cause.
• Lead incident response for customer-impacting outages with triage, clear communication, and resolution.
• Ship fixes to backend services, Terraform modules, and deployment tooling.
• Build diagnostics, health checks, and self-service tooling to prevent repeat issues.
• Write and maintain runbooks and deployment docs to turn fixes into permanent solutions.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and Product to reduce recurring failures.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical customer issues.
