Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Platforms in Plano, TX to ensure availability and performance of enterprise platforms and infrastructure services. You will work across Linux, Windows, and cloud environments to modernize and automate operations.

You will design patching, monitoring, and incident response strategies, build self-healing workflows, and partner with teams to maintain reliable systems and compliant backups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SRE concepts (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident response).
• Hands-on experience with RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Windows Server in production.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain operating systems across RHEL, Amazon Linux, and Windows Server environments.
• Perform OS configuration, hardening, and lifecycle management following security standards.
• Manage user access, file systems, storage, networking, and core OS services.
• Build/update and maintain end-to-end patch management lifecycle across OSes.
• Maintain automation and tooling for patch scheduling, compliance reporting, and remediation tracking.
• Design and maintain observability setups with metrics, logging, and alerts for all managed systems.
• Define alerts, dashboards, and runbooks for operational visibility and proactive issue prevention.
• Participate in incident triage and drive faster resolution using observability data.
• Manage backup/restore solutions (Cohesity, AWS) and test recovery procedures.
