Job summary

LogicGate is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to build robust backend services, APIs, and data layers powering Risk Cloud. You will own a defined domain, design maintainable solutions, and ship high-impact features with operations ownership.

Collaborate across product, QA, and frontend teams in Agile sprints, design API contracts, and document data models. The role emphasizes Go exposure and scalable SaaS architecture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend/platform or systems engineering experience in a high-growth environment.
• Strong Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot experience with REST APIs.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL) knowledge including queries and migrations.
• Ability to debug distributed backend services by reading logs and tracing requests.
• Experience using AI coding assistants as part of normal workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend features and robust REST APIs on the Risk Cloud platform using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.
• Write unit and integration tests with JUnit to ensure a stable deployment lifecycle.
• Independently diagnose and resolve issues by reading logs and tracing request flows.
• Act as SME for a defined portion of the platform, optimizing for maintainability and scalability.
• Document API contracts, data models, and Confluence runbooks.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Redis, and RabbitMQ to optimize data flows.
• Collaborate in Agile sprints with product, QA, and frontend teams.
• Participate in regular code reviews and uphold team conventions.
