Job summary

LogicGate is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to build backend services, APIs, and data layers powering Risk Cloud. You’ll work autonomously within a domain, shipping features and debugging production workloads, with ownership of a defined platform area.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend, platform, or systems engineering experience.
• Strong Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot experience.
• Experience building REST APIs with versioning and contracts.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and data stores.
• Independent debugging of distributed backend services.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design backend features and REST APIs on the Risk Cloud platform.
• Write unit and integration tests with JUnit.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in owned services via logs and monitoring.
• Own SME area like core workflow engine or reporting.
• Draft API contracts, data models, and Confluence docs.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
• Collaborate in Agile sprints with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold conventions.
