Job summary

LogicGate is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to build robust backend services, APIs, and data layers powering Risk Cloud. You will work autonomously within a domain, design stable solutions, ship high-impact features, and own ownership of your scope while shaping our future enterprise cloud architecture.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of backend/software engineering experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, and strong API design.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend/platform experience in a high-growth environment.
• Strong JVM language experience (Java, Kotlin) and Spring Boot.
• Proven REST API design with versioning and stable contracts.
• Relational DB experience (PostgreSQL); performance-focused queries.
• Ability to debug complex distributed services using logs/monitoring tools.
• Experience using AI coding assistants as part of a typical workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend features and robust REST APIs on the Risk Cloud platform.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure a stable deployment lifecycle.
• Independently diagnose and resolve issues in owned services using logs and tracing.
• Own a domain of the platform (e.g., core workflow engine or reporting).
• Contribute to Technical Specifications and API/data model documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and frontend engineers in sprints.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of learning.
