Gemini is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Security to lead our Platform Security team in a hybrid US-based role. You will architect and implement security solutions with engineers, write Terraform, review PRs, and guide architectural decisions to scale secure-by-design platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading cloud-native engineering or security teams.
• 10+ years direct experience in Platform Engineering or Security.
• Strong experience in AWS, EKS, IAM, Terraform, GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
• Experience leveraging security frameworks to mature security programs.
• Comfortable with hiring and scaling a team.
• Able to communicate with technical stakeholders and translate needs into outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership of Gemini's Platform Security team, architecting security solutions alongside engineers.
• Align team strategy with business needs and partner security leadership.
• Mentor and grow the team through hands-on designs, PR reviews, and code reviews.
• Establish a Platform Security roadmap to mature capabilities and reduce toil through automation.
• Serve as escalation point for architecture and engineering problems, contributing code/IaC when needed.
• Foster trust with partner teams and ensure security outcomes meet needs.
• Lead development of security policies, standards, and guidelines to meet audits.
• Define KPIs to measure progress toward security objectives.
• Offer guidance on architecture and security engineering approaches.
