Job summary

Resend is seeking a security-focused engineer to strengthen our platform's security foundations, including keys, secrets, audit logs, and tenant isolation. You will design secure defaults for services, pipelines, and access controls while improving detection for suspicious activity.

As the first dedicated security hire, you will independently prioritize work, collaborate with Trust & Safety teams, and help uphold SOC 2 and ISO-like expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience securing production infrastructure, cloud environments, APIs, or multi-tenant SaaS.
• Ability to read and write code across application and deployment layers.
• Understanding IAM, authentication, authorization, logging, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve security foundations of Resend’s platform, including keys, secrets, and access controls.
• Design secure defaults for services, workers, queues, and deployment pipelines.
• Improve detection and response for suspicious access and credential leaks.
• Update processes so security is built-in, not bolt-on.
• Raise the security bar across the product.
