Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Platform Operations Manager to lead the design, deployment, and operation of a modern, containerized stack supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) modernization program. You will ensure uptime, reliability, and performance of a large-scale data platform while fostering a strong DevSecOps culture.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, CS, or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of relevant experience; 13+ years with a Master’s.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II+ certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, SSCP, CISSP or equal).
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab pipelines, Linux and containerized environments.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS) and enterprise-scale production systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity planning for a large-scale data platform.
• Lead triage, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Define and track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs).
• Lead a team of system administrators and mentor staff.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to design solutions and documentation.
• Participate in SAFe Agile release planning and cross-team coordination.
