Job summary

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer in Mexico City to maintain enterprise infrastructure platforms. You will monitor production environments, investigate incidents, and ensure high availability.

The role emphasizes Oracle database operations, Linux administration, performance optimization, and automation of recurring tasks. You will work in a global 24x7 support model, collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years in enterprise infrastructure operations, system administration, or platform support.
• Proficiency troubleshooting CPU and memory on Linux/Unix.
• Experience supporting Oracle Database environments and alert log analysis.
• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and 24x7 ops.
• Scripting and automation fundamentals (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of Oracle tablespace management and performance tuning.
• Experience with monitoring/alerting platforms and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain production environments for high availability and stability.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure alerts and incidents.
• Participate in 24x7 follow-the-sun support and incident response.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Analyze workloads and optimize platform efficiency and capacity.
• Manage Oracle databases and perform maintenance and tuning.
• Develop automated remediation and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with global operations, cloud, DBAs, and app support teams.
