Job summary

Astra, a remote-first fintech infrastructure company in the US, is seeking a Product Manager to evolve the platform layer (APIs, developer experience, control plane) and scale payments infrastructure for builders. This IC role shapes architecture, configuration, and extensibility across the platform, collaborating with engineering, solutions, and GTM teams.

You will work with leadership to define specs, roadmap, and API contracts, ensuring reliability, observability, and a top-tier developer

Qualifications

6+ years of product management experience in developer-facing platform or API products.
Strong API design experience across REST and webhooks.
Experience owning a platform roadmap including authentication, extensibility, observability.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain API contract philosophy and schema design principles.
Write platform specs for engineering to ship, with edge-case coverage.
Shape the platform roadmap balancing foundational investments and customer features.
Conduct technical discovery with sophisticated customers to identify gaps.
Partner with engineering to review API design and developer ergonomics.
Translate customer pain points into platform requirements.
Drive the developer experience roadmap with docs and DevRel.
Represent platform strategy in customer conversations and due diligence.
