Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an experienced engineer to own the observability platform and production control plane for its hyperscale fleet. You will build data pipelines, API surfaces, and a Kubernetes-based infrastructure that keeps the system healthy and verifiable from site to device.

You will design scalable APIs, automate toil, and ship production services relied upon by other teams. Strong focus on AI tooling, distributed systems, and hardware integration is required, with equity consideration.

Qualifications

• Toil as a bug: automate toil away whenever possible.
• Design APIs that age well and avoid leaky abstractions at scale.
• Willingness to move toward ambiguity, map it, and explain it clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the observability platform: build data pipelines, decoration and correlation engine, and health-check framework for fleet visibility from site to device.
• Define and build the API surface for infrastructure and contracts used by all tools interacting with production infra.
• Build the production control plane: unified machine management, actual state inspection, and Kubernetes-based infra underpinnings.
• Maintain fleet state as truth: SLOs, site lifecycle, and integration with management and customer-facing platforms.
• Land new hardware into the platform via ZTP, DHCP, DNS, and artifacts for every new XPU generation.
