Fastly is seeking a full-stack Software Engineer for Platform Observability and Intelligence (POI). You will contribute to internal observability tools, the developer portal, and data pipelines to inform cost, capacity planning, and business insights.

The role is mid-level, offering growth opportunities, cross-team collaboration, and ownership of larger features over time. Hybrid/remote US location with core hours; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Generalist mid-level engineer with a few years of experience.
• Interest in observability, platforms, and developer experience is a plus.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and own tasks from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain software and platform capabilities for Fastly’s internal observability.
• Help develop the internal developer portal to help engineers discover services and tooling.
• Break down project requirements into concrete tasks and own them through to completion.
• Communicate status and raise issues early; write clear updates.
• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews and share knowledge.
• Participate in team planning and retrospectives.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents within SLA.
