Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Technical Lead / Solution Architect to guide architecture and engineering for a large-scale GrantSolutions modernization effort. You will shape the technical vision, define target-state architecture, and coordinate across multiple workstreams, vendors, and Scrum teams while preserving legacy operations during the transition.

You will own design decisions, enforce engineering standards, and mentor teams, delivering an API-enabled platform with secure, scalable integration

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6–8 years of software engineering, solution architecture, or related leadership roles.
• Experience designing enterprise applications using Java/Spring Boot and API design.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native solutions and containerized architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture and technical direction for a large-scale platform modernization program delivered iteratively.
• Define target-state architecture, modernization roadmap, and integration patterns.
• Coordinate workstreams across multiple vendors and Scrum teams while preserving legacy during transition.
• Make architecture decisions balancing long-term sustainability with near-term delivery and compliance.
• Enforce technical standards, design patterns, and reusable components across teams.
• Provide hands-on guidance on APIs, data exchange, and cloud-aligned design.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks related to legacy coexistence and data synchronization.
