Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Satellite Operations Platform Manager to bridge spacecraft in orbit with the Satellite Operations team and broader engineering and business units. You will translate customer contracts into operational reality by commissioning satellites, transitioning to nominal operations, and scaling the fleet to meet growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in satellite operations or a related high-reliability system environment (e.g., aerospace, defense).
• Working knowledge of satellite subsystem and supporting ground system functionality.
• Experience solving complex problems that span multiple systems.
• Experience with creating operational processes to address both technical and customer needs.
• An engineering background in an engineering field such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create structure/process where none exists.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional teams supporting commissioning activities and anomaly reviews and provide regular progress updates to management.
• Monitor operational performance against contractual requirements and coordinate cross team support to address any performance shortfalls.
• Ensure Satellite Operation’s systems and processes are scalable and support anticipated fleet expansion and contractual requirements.
• Provide periodic updates to management on commissioning progress and operational performance against contractual commitments.
• Support customer meetings to provide updates on anomaly investigations and track issues to closure.
