Job summary

Motive is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head Core Infrastructure and Operations Engineering in San Francisco. You will own the cloud platform, mentor a multi-functional team, and drive enterprise-grade reliability for mission-critical systems.

You will lead multi-quarter initiatives to improve developer velocity and system reliability, partnering with product leaders to balance architecture with business needs. Help transform infrastructure into a product with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Deep expertise running cloud platforms at scale.
• Strong systems architecture and ownership mindset.
• Cross-functional collaboration across product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems used across the company.
• Define and drive multi-quarter platform initiatives to improve developer velocity, reliability, and product leverage.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to evolve the platform as a product, balancing long-term architecture with near-term business needs.
• Turn ambiguous, high-impact problems into clear execution plans.
• Drive alignment across multiple teams on interdependent systems including internal platforms and cloud governance.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality, operational excellence, and execution across the platform organization.
