Job summary

Doppel is seeking a senior frontend engineer to elevate UI/UX across the core product platform. You will work with the lead designer to craft a cohesive, performant experience for enterprise customers.

You’ll shape a frontend platform where design systems, tokens, and guarded code generation enable teams to ship faster. You’ll build the infrastructure, evolve the design system, and own production health, with a focus on safety, observability, and scalable tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in React and TypeScript, building and operating production web applications.
• Experience owning platform-level frontend work: design systems, component libraries, build tooling, data-layer patterns (Relay or similar GraphQL clients).
• Genuine excitement about AI-assisted development and building rails for safe, scalable frontend work.
• Platform mindset: focus on enabling other teams to ship, not just personal features.
• Comfort with ambiguity as the company evolves and charter is defined in real time.
• Familiarity with production monitoring and performance work (RUM, SLOs, error budgets).
• Experience collaborating with designers on design tokens, Figma workflows, and Storybook-driven development.
• Strong communication skills with product teams, designers, and backend engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the frontend infrastructure every product runs on: the shell, data layer, routing, auth, and the build/deploy pipeline.
• Evolve the design system from a component library into a contract with tokens, docs, and guardrails.
• Develop the design-to-production pipeline: tooling and workflows to convert designs into production-ready UI without hand-written code.
• Ensure platform safety via permissioning, gates, observability, and accessibility baked into primitives.
• Own production health: monitors, SLOs, and routing to quickly alert the right teams.
• Package the platform for scale with a versioned component library and scaffolding for new apps.
• Collaborate closely with design and product teams as primary customers.
