Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Manager of Infrastructure – Platform Engineering in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. The role anchors design authority for hosting modern workloads on the firm’s container platform, centered on Red Hat OpenShift and OpenShift AI, combining architecture, line management, and embedded engineering.

A hybrid/office presence may apply. You will lead architecture development, collaborate with security, networking, and SRE teams, document ADRs, and mentor engineers while driving

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture, operations, security, networking, storage, multi-tenancy, lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML platform architecture, GPU scheduling and storage patterns for model training/inference.
• Demonstrated infrastructure as code capability using Terraform or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery prioritization for Platform Engineering within strategic direction; backlog sequencing, estimation, day-to-day trade-offs.
• Lead high/low-level designs, reference architectures, and global standards for containerized hosting and AI/ML workloads.
• Contribute as embedded member of Platform Engineering with OpenShift, IaC, and CI/CD delivery; collaborate across teams.
