Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP is seeking a Manager of Infrastructure – Platform Engineering, located in Los Angeles or Las Vegas, with hybrid work options. You will own platform delivery, design architecture, and collaborate across security, networking, and AI/ML workloads to support enterprise-grade Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.

The role requires strong leadership, embedded engineering experience, and a track record of mentoring engineers while driving scalable, secure infrastructure patterns

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture, operations, security.
• Experience designing AI/ML workloads on Kubernetes; OpenShift AI preferred.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, cloud and architecture certifications preferred.
• ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery prioritization for the Platform Engineering pillar.
• Lead development of high‑level and low‑level designs, reference architectures, and standards.
• Collaborate with security, network, storage, monitoring, and service management teams.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to engineers.
